Kero Kero Bonito broke onto the scene in late 2014 with the release of their first mixtape entitled Intro Bonito. Hailing from London, the trio boldly blends British pop rock with J-Pop to create a completely unique sound. The craziest part is that they make the genres fit together like peanut butter and jelly. Lyrically, Kero Kero Bonito toggles between English and Japanese verses as if they were the same language. But melodically KKB feels like being spoon-fed from a bowl full of pure, uncut, fishscale sugar. And I’ll gladly lose a mouthful off teeth to keep listening.

Check out their newest single, “Picture This”. A song with an refreshingly innocent take on self obsessed selfie takers, instagramers and social media “humble” braggers. My take? It’s impossible to listen to lead singer Sarah Bonito and not fall in love, this track is going to be H-U-G-E.

“Hold your camera high and click, exercise your right to picture this, and don’t forget to show everybody you’ve ever known.”
